Hi

my waterski hook is only secured with two screws, and small washers and srew nots.

Is this really strong enough to pull waterskiers? No fear, that this pulls out?

Best Regards,

Through bolted is the only way to go, with a large backing plate to spread the load.

Are you sure it's a ski hook?

My ski ring also only has to studs, washers, and lock nuts. If it's thru-bolted and has decent washers, there's little chance of it pulling out.

Keep in mind the hook only sees as much force as you can apply with your two hands since the load is only the skier on the end of the rope. Tie a piece of rope to the hook and try to pull it out by hand; I bet you can't.

If you're pulling a tube then you do need a strong hook.
