waterpump for 1994 force 120?

Need a waterpump for my 120 hp force,supposed to be a 1994,but the gasket matches a 1990.No number plate on the motor.Bought a rebuild kit for a 1994,gaskets not even close.So,I tried to put it back together with the old gasket and broke the water pump housing.I'm having a heck of a time finding a replacment,can anyone point me in the right direction?Thanks.

I think thats a dealer only item, a mercury dealer can order it I think

Post the model number of your motor.

theres no model or serial# that I can see,no tag or stamping on the motor.

I would suggest you go here:<br /><br /> http://www.mercruiserparts.com/selectModels2.asp?type_id=FORC <br /><br />And look at the exploded parts diagrams for the 120.<br />Try to find the one that matches.<br /><br /><br />Some years used different lower units.<br />Some years used a 2 piece driveshaft.

OK,I checked out the mercruiser site,thanks roscoe,its tough to see detail in the waterpmp layout.I did find the serial # sticker,but the # is unreadable,looks like a blank space,almost looks like a reflector tape.My next step is to take the pump to a local shop I found that deals in these motors and see what they have to say.I hope to get there tomorrow,let you all know how I make out,Thanks for all the help!

I went to my local shop today,had the waterpump kit on the shelf,$56.I looked up the part # of the impeller kit I bought earlier,it goes to a 6 cylinder motor,gonna try to get my money back for that.Thanks for all your help.

Mike, I also have a 120 force and have the same issue with finding the serial # - the only place I see it listed is on a little sticker that looks completely blank. Did you ever get find it?<br /><br />My problem is that I don't know if my engine is a 94 or 95... seems like it's going to be tough to order parts without this info...
