Water under front of power head

Have a 1994 Merc 125 HP. Put a leg extension kit on a while back and started for the first time since I installed the kit. While running the pee hole flow was great, but a huge amount of water was coming out below the front of the powerhead. I'm thinking the water tube from the drive to the powerhead didn't seat up top. I will take the outdrive off but what am I looking for here? Felt like everything snapped into place when I installed the kit and is it even possible for the water tube not to have gone into place in the powerhead when the extension kit and outdrive were installed? If it would help diagnose I can video it running

The water tube is to be installed into the exhaust housing FIRST.-----Then the lower unit is installed.

Thanks racerone. That's probably my problem. Will update after I drop the drive.

All good took it a part and made sure water tube extension got hooked up and no more problem,.
