heck of a rain last night over 2 ". my cover somewhat failed. i had about 2 gallons of water pooled in the back corner. i sucked it out with a shop vac. during the day as i was vacuming the wet carpet i notice water seeping out of a tiny crack ,about the size of a pencil eraser. this crack was under the pooled water. i opened the crack a little and stuck a 3/16' tube in the hole connected to a small pump. i have now suck out a gallon of water. every half hour for the last 4 hrs ive turned on the pump and have gotten an a additional quart (total). the boat is a 1961 14ft fiberglass that has been completely redone. im a bit freaked out. is there any thing else i should do other than keep pumping and seal the crack?

Re: water under floor

get the bow as high as you can, and remove the drain plug.

Re: water under floor

hey t- daddy,
water is in the void under the floor. the crack was in the fiberglass mat. this is my first boat and im not that familiar with all the terms, so i will at times confuse those in the know. i did raise the bow and did get more of a flow for awhile. im worried about the new stringers and floor joints. i tend to over react, perhaps i am now.
