Water tube issue

I have an older 1975 johnson 6hp that the water tube fell out of its hole that it needs to be in. I'm having trouble gettig it back in the hole securely. Now on this motor there is an extended gear case but when I tried taking off the extension 3 acrews stripped. How can I get the stripped screws out and be able to out new ones in?

You can try to drill the screws and easy out them then replace with new screws. I would start soaking the screws with some PB blaster for a couple days prior to help loosen them before hand. Also buy some new pilot point drill bits, it's tough enough to drill stainless steel out of aluminum you don't want the wandering drill bit problem.
