I know about water testing prop and RPMs. My question is. I had a 115 etec (2007) on my boat, I just repowered with a 115 HO etec (2019) Will the prop from the old motor ( Pitch/size) work on the new Motor. And If I change the prop out on the motor, will the computer need to be adjusted of is it all RPM like the old engine.

Totally 2 different engines. The 2009 was a 60° looper design and the 2019 is the 3 cylinder G2 series. It should have the V6 diameter lower unit and will likey require a prop exchange, Now depending on what you are installing it on as performance hull will likely need to go up a pitch. A toon, CC or runabout same pitch prop should work fine. Just be aware there is no support and parts for the G2 motors. A customer we know has been waiting a year for a wiring harness, only to have it installed and motor threw a rod first trip out. He took a $20k loss and bought a Merc .

I didn't think it was a g2....are you sure?

I have the g1 115 and it has the 6 cylinder foot.

My brother has a g1 ho and the only thing I saw was water pickup is different and a few other things.

I was also told in the g2 you could get the 3 cylinder and the 6....6 had more torque.
