I am installing new digital gage. Can I use the existing sending unit ?

Only if the sender is compatible. The standard analog gauge uses 33 to 240 ohms. So if your digital gauge is an analog gauge with a digital readout it will probably work. Look at the documentation that came with the gauge

+1 . . . no way for us to tell without knowing more about the gauge. Probably have to read the instructions or documentation that comes with the gauge  and I know how bad that can feel :D

Did the gauge not come with a sender?
You don't say what motor but usually it's not hard to replace the sender.

If it does not come with its own probe, you should be able to calibrate it to yours. The instructions should tell you how if it is designed to work with a conventional sender.
