Have 2007, 15 HP Honda. Stream is only a dribble. Does not overheat. What is normal stream?

Re: Water Stream Dribble

Hi,
I have a 2004 20hp, which is almost the same engine as yours. The cooling water never dribbles, even when idling. You should have a continuous, consistent flow at idle, which will increase when you rev it up. As you say it's not overheating, one possible cause could be some tiny debris stuck in the outlet nozzle. It happened to me once and I used a toothpick to loosen it from the outside. It's a really simple first attempt to solve your problem!

Good luck!

Yup - what he said...try compressed air or water with the engine running and shoot it up the pee hole to dislodge any obstruction...then if it doesn't improve check the block temperature - you should be able to lay your hands on the cylinder head - if not , its overheating

Pretty easy to just pull the hose off the inside of the connection for outlet in the cowling and let it run to clean it out, then push it back on. That junk has to be coming from somewere, maybe you are running in weeds or mud? Maybe get a new gasket and pull the thermostat and flush it also. you can run it for a short perion of time w/o the stat, just gets water all over everything.
