Water Seperater information for 3.0L Mercruiser

I have a 1999 135hp Mercruiser 3.0L with an Alpha1 outdrive, My engine has a rough idle and occasionally dies when warm when I put it into gear from idle, and I need to give it throttle to get her running while warm as well.
My friends father informed me to get a water seperater filter for the boat. I looked and didn't see one installed already, Does anyone have a part number for a decent seperator, and how easy are they to install.

Just about any kit will work, it's the filter quality that really matters. iboats sales them look it up.

Sounds like symptoms of a carb rebuild in the future then add the water seperator when complete to protect from there on out.
