Water pumping

How long would my 15hp evinrude run without pumping water, before it blows up. I took it on a fishing trip and didnt notice it not pumping water until back at the dock, it was about 50 min. of total run time.

I've seen them burn up, or have major engine damage in less than 5 min running near WOT! Hope this isn't the case.
