water pump

1978 Volvo penta 280A. The pulley on the Water ciculating Pump of the engine is lose and wobbling when I move it by hand. The four bolts that hold the pulley on are tight. No leaks and temp. is fine but I assume pump has to be replaced. Just wanted to Know what causes this to happen, just normal wear, something out of line, or something else. Thanks

mmmm a 1978 with a worn out pump? sounds like normal wear. they dont last forever. good thing is they are easy to change <br /> good luck and keep posting
