I have a 1987 Mariner 150hp V-6, Water does not come out of the pee hole until the engine warms up then a good stream flows. Seems like most of the outboards I have seen water comes out all the time, is this normal for this engine. Also the oil injection is disconnected is 50:1 the right mix to use.
il mixture. The water pump must fill the cooling cavity before it pee's. Are we just talking about 1/2 minute or less, or does it take longer than that? Do you ever get a hot warning horn? Impeller should be replaced once/year whether you use the engine or not.
