Re: water pump touble

Replacing a water pump is something any outboard owner should know how to do. If you remove the lower unit, the water pump is right on top. There should be about 8 bolts and screw to remove and it will drop off. O nthe side of your outboard ther will be oval plate to take off. Remove it and inside there will be a shift linkage clasp. Remove the bottom screw from it. The remove the 6 bolts underneath the seam of the exhaust housing and lower unit. It should drop out easily. You will then see the water pump. Replace the water pump and housing then put it back together. If you have any questions, just ask.
Good luck. Have some patience when reassembling.
Pat
