water pump sealants

The manual shows Loctitie 572 for the bolts and Three Bond 1104J for the housing.....can find neither. Substitutes? Thanks.

don't know about the number but if you could find a low strength thread bond for your bolts you'd be fine (ie: Loctite Purple) or even a bearing retainer compound. As far as the housing is concerned, an automitive parts store will have various gasket compounds and you can get both from the store as well.

Clean the threads of all bolts and screws with a wire brush, use waterproof marine grease on threads for assembly, you'll be fine. Good Luck!
