Last week I installed a new impeller in my 79 Rude. Got it back together and she was peeing water like crazy. My question is how much pressure should she have at idle and WOT? The motor had between 3-5 pounds at idle on the muffs.

Dutch

Re: water pressure

3-5 psi on the muffs is fine. Water pressure should be 16-18 psi @ wfo.

c/6

Hooty

Thanks Hooty. That's exactly what I needed to know. I've always looked at your posts and appreciate the info you give. I've always wondered what kind of rig you have and where you fish in the DFW area?

Dutch

Re: water pressure

Hey Dutch,
'bout the only fishing I do is from my son's 'toon on Lake Lewisville. I do my boating there also. I have a 17' Seajay Speedliner w/ a V6 'rude. The engine had a busted crankshaft that I've replaced. Just finished getting the p/h back on and now the starter pinyon is spun. There's no end to it.

c/6

Hooty
