Water Pressure Question?

I installed a whole new water pump on my motor this year. A 200HP 2000 Johnson carb. It was a complete kit from Iboats. Made sure pump and all was right. Yesterday was fishing I noticed at idle it was about 12lbs, WOT it went to 32lbs. Isn't this a little high? I also replace T stats and by pass valve in middle of motor at top. Is this high or norm??? Tail tell is fine also! Idle down after start up also!

sound like it is pretty good just watch your pressure gauge as long as it is not dropping and you lose you tattle tale stream you should be okay.
.some one else will pop up that knows what that motor should run

Its just fine for that engine, a closed deck block will run a little higher pressure and also how guage is plumbed will make a difference. My 250 has had a water mod done to block and runs about 8-10psi at idle and pegs guage at WOT.Water mod helps prevent piston ring dowel pin migration.
