Re: water pressure guage
I'm not familiar enough with that engine to tell you "where" to install the pressure fitting but after you install the gauge you should also install a new impeller. You then take readings at idle, mid-range, and wide open throttle RPM. That provides the optimum base line. Any deviation from those numbers down the road indicates the impeller needs attention. If you don't do that you have no idea what "normal" is for your engine. Two engines rarely run identical water pressure.
Some gauges work fine with a simple "T" in the tell tale. If you have an unused port into the water jacket, make the connection there. Pressure will probably run in 17 - 20 PSI range. Someone with more knowledge about your engine will be along to provide more accurate numbers.
