water pressure gauge reading for 175 Johnson

What should be the water pressure reading on my water pressure gauge for a 175 Johnson ? On my force it was about 6- 8 at a idle just dont know where it should be for this engine . thanks for the input !

JJB, I do not know if there is a specification for water pressure on that motor. I get 20+ PSI water pressure at cruising speed and 7PSI or so at idle, on my '98 150HPV6 Johnny.

It depends on the location of the T and the size of the outlet if it is t'd into the tell-tale hose. The Teleflex chart is pretty close:
