My motor doesnt have a gage for water pressure. I hear a lot of people talking about them and was wondering how important it is to have one if the tattle tale is working fine. Also how hard is the install. Thanx y'all.

I think they're real important. It lets you know exactly what your water pump is doing. If the pressure's up, the pump is doing it's job. If the pressure's down or the needle is fluctuating, you have, or you're about to have a cooling problem. When the hi-temp horn sounds off,the engine's already hot, and you've gotta turn around and look behind you to see if the pisser is workin'. I think a water pressure kit cost about $50-$60.

c/6

Hooty

Installation consists of drilling hole in dash, bolt guage in, run the plastic tubing between guage and engine, connect tubing at both ends. Less than an hour. You can add the jumper wires from other guages if you want the backlight to work.
