So I just had my motor swapped over to another boat. I haven't used the boat since August of 2010. However, the mechanic who was doing the motor swap noticed a leak coming near the electronics and mentioned it to me. I told him I would attempt to fix it myself rather than him considering I haven't had my boat in 3 months. Here's a pic of where the leak is coming from. It's behind the voltage regulator/rectifier.

Looks like the exhaust cover is leaking. If you do plan to replace the gasket, be careful not to break any of the bolts. Use some heat, penetrating oil and some gentle impact driver pressure to coax them out.

thanks chris. I'll definately look into fixing that over the winter. And of course, take my time. It's something I do want to replace because its darn close to the electrical components. I don't want anything shorted out.
