Water inside boat

My bilge pump and automatic float switch have been tested and working fine but the last couple times boating I’ve had water come inside the boat on the passenger side. When I’m pulling someone or making sharp turns occasionally water will run down the side storage area and on to the main floor. What would cause this and should I be concerned? 2002 Crownline 202 br Volvo Penta

first, welcome aboard

second, remember, boats are designed to last about 15 years and be replaced as they start to fail

a few items that can cause the water leaking as you describe:
  • leaking rub rail that only leaks when you cut to port due to water splashing up the sides of the boat
  • crack in the hull somewhere, allowing water to pool in an area that only comes out when you cut hard to port
  • boat was previously sunk and water is trapped in the flotation pods within the hull and a bit comes out when you cut hard to port
  • you have a plastic thru-hull somewhere on the boat that is leaking

Thank you Scott. A couple of those are a real possibility that I’ll be checking out. I appreciate your knowledge.
