Water in the Stren Drive oil

How do I keep water out of my stern drive oil? The stern drive in question is a Mercrusier from a 1973 Century Raven. At the end of every summer I have water in the oil. It used to look milky but I had it rebuilt Now the oil looks good but it still has water in the oil based on the crackle test. I'm thinking that as the oil heats up the air inside the sealed case heats up and escapes. As it cools a vacuum forms and pulls water in from one of the seals. Can I vent the gear case somehow? or what?

Have you pressure tested the drive?

No I haven't tried pressure testing . Nay advise on how to do that?
