Hello guys, having some water in the engine compartment of my seary240 sundance lately.
The water is kept on ground.
I removed all the water last time, it was just below the engine and there was 20 to 30 liters. Did not try to taste it to see if it was salty or not.
Anyway, I did not use the boat for a week and when I came back there was water again ( less than the last time but still)
I do not know if some of you are familiar with the sundnacer 240 but basically you have the engine compartment and there is a "hole" at the bottom of the forward dividing hole. I guess the water comes from that hole but I cannot understand where is the source.

Thank you for your tips and help.

Could be a cracked bellows , either shift cable or driveshaft . Have you used a flashlight and looked around to see if you can find the source ? Might have to stretch your neck a bit or even use your cell to take a picture if you can't see a area that may be the issue. Do you have a fresh water holding tank ? If not look behind the engine where the drive shaft goes through the transom , look for water droplets or a trail running down the transom from there. Same thing with the red shift cable that goes into the transom plate assembly.
