water in the carb

I've got a 05 Merc 115 HP.

It stalled last week. wouldn't run. I emptied out the carbs this week and I think there was water in them. I connected a 5 gallon tank and ran it for about 20 minutes out on the water. It ran great!! Then all of a sudden, it stalled again and I think there might be water in it again. Is there any other way the carb could be getting water in it? (besides the gas tank)

It ran great during the last month of rain. Then its been out of commission the only 3 nice days we had all year!!! AGGHHH

sounds like there may be water in tank other than that, its about the only way water can get in carbs

thanks Rosser. I figured it out. I think its too much ethanol in my tank. I pumped out a gallon and half is gas in the bottom. the other is what I think is ethanol. not good.
