I have a 1999 Mercury ELPTO 115hp four cylinder motor that I fired up for the first time this season and the water pressure gauge started to fill up with water. The motor was spitting a constant stream from the hole so I know it was sucking up water to cool. (I used a garden hose with the cups on it that fit over the water intakes.) Is this an indication of something that may have frozen over the winter or just a bad gauge? Is it difficult to replace? Thanks in advance for your input. I appreciate all of you helpful techies!
