I have a 1990 Suntracker, 24' pontoon. I just pulled it out of the water and noticed a water stream coming out of one of the pontoons. There does not appear to be any method of draining any remaining water out. My questions are:<br />Should I drill a small hole in the bottom of the pontoon to drain it? How do I repair this hole and the one that I found?

Re: Water in Pontoon

Your local hardware store (if it is a true hardware store) generally has an assortment of expandable plugs much like the drain plug for a boat. They are available in several sizes. Made of rubber that expands when a screw is tightened. Get one of these plugs. Then drill the hole that size. Insert the plug, tighten it and you are good to go. The best way however is to have your local welding shop weld a threaded "bung" on each pontoon. A threaded plug (plastic or brass) can then be inserted.
