Hello everyone,

I have a 1997 Mercruiser 4.3 and today i changed the oil and filter to start the winterization. As i looked at the dipstick i saw the oil was a little milky, but once i drained the whole thing..OH MY! Very very milky creamy oil.... The boat hasnt given me any trouble... i bought the boat about 4 months ago, used it about 8-10 times at the lake and never had any trouble..(i did notice a little signs of milky oil o the dipstick about last month, i just thought it wont be something major..i know i know  ).. boat starts good and seems to run good.. again i haven't notice any trouble in the engine, any loss of power or something like it.

So what signs should i be looking for now that i have this problem so i can get this fixed. What problems could i be facing??

Thanks so much in advance for all the help. Greatly appreciated.

We think you already know the answer. Head gasket. I'm new, but I don't think there's anywhere else for water to get into oil, unless right through a crack/pores in the block.
