At my 100 hour service check, I was told there was water in my lowewr unit of my Mercury 250 outboard. As far as I know a check of the seals was done but nothing major. I was told to bring it back around 150 hours for another check. It is still under warranty, any ideas how to find the cause and what might be the repair. Bye the way, I bought it from a very reputable Mercury dealer but it was originally a 30 inch which was converted to a 25 inch. They told me there would be no problems and would not void any warranty coverage. Thanks.mark

Boy! Call me paranoid but if it was mine and whether it's under warranty or not I'd want it resealed and inspected before I used it again. Did they do a pressure and va***me test or just pressure?
I don't know about anyone else but if mine leaves me stranded I can't walk home from out there.
Good luck!

I have to agree with Hadley. Then people wonder why warranty cost's so much. Sure just let it eat itself and have Merc send a new one. Maybe you'll only loose a month while your waiting.
