Pulled boat out for season, when changing gear oil noticed water mixed wih it. Not sure how to go about finding the problem,or where to start. Replaced the oil fill and oil vent seal they were shot. Thought that may be the problem. Hooked muffs up ran it for short time drained it again, still water mixed in. Also alot of black film coming out of discharged water from drive. Changed shift cable earlier this year noticed every seal + bellow had some kind of silicone of some kind on them. Cleaned all it off before replacing seals. Any help would be very kind. Trying to fix myself funds are low wife says have to sell boat if it cost us to much to fix, which would destroy me. Work out of town, no chance to get to computer much sorry if there is not a quick response from me. Thanks

You need to remove the outdrive drain the oil and perform a pressure test. Once you get the air pressure to 15 psi spray the outdrive with soapy water and look for bubbles. If you dont find any, start turning the drive shaft while in gear and look for bubbles. It should hold 15 psi over night...

Have not had time to work on lower unit yet. But I have a quick question, keep in mind I am new at boating incase its a stupid question. Here ,is water suppose to come out of the same place the exhuast comes out through the propeller? I noticed on youtube it doesnt on most, but it does on mine. Thought about it today on way back from work.

Also, you better winterize your engine & drive before you get a hard freeze.
