I got water in my lower unit and have been trying to get rid of all the old oil that is sitting in it.. I have tried to flush it out with Gear Lube and it still keeps coming out. Any ideas on how to get the rest out and get it really clean??

Its a mercruiser alpha I..

Tallman

If you want it really clean. Open the drain and vent with a pan under it and let it sit for a couple days. Refill and take it for a ride (Gears spining at speed will move the fluid around good). Do over.

It sounds like you are still getting water in. If it is milky oil then the seal is leaking at the prop shaft. No amount of oil changing will fix it, you need a new seal. :(
