Took boat out Sun. and drained lower unit after and found some water I think, didn't look like "water drops" in oil, but creamy color(caused/mixed) by gears?? I'm going to double check lower /drain screw for gasket top vent one is visible- but when I flushed motor in driveway w/ ears, no contamination - different presure on L/U in water? What other gasket/seal could need to be replaced? Thanks, Heinz

Hey Heinz,
That creamy look indicates water in the oil.
If you've got good o-rings on the drain & vent screws, you're probably going to need to install a seal kit (prop shaft seals, etc.). You should run a pressure check to verify where it's leaking. By the way, you wouldn't get the water contamination while using muffs because neither the drain/vent screws nor the prop shaft are under water.
The pressure test will tell all ;)
Backlash
