My 90hp Johnny is getting water in the gearcase. I did change the prop shaft seals and O rings but still. I think i m gonna have to do the driveshaft seals also. The shifter also has seal and gasket.

Anyone experienced this?

You could vacume/pressure test the lower unit to confirm where the leak is.

By far the most common cause of water intrusion into the gearcase is failure to use new crush gaskets under the drain/fill and vent plugs every time they are removed.

I would check that possibility before I did anything else.

I see what you mean...good point.

There's two new plastic(crush)gaskets down there.

Water is going in with the flush, probably means the problem is with the drive shaft gaskets. I order them, there to be changed anyway.

I'll keep you posted,

Thanks guys.
