I've got water in gas tank, the pick up tub runs to the bottom, can I get away with draining a few gallons through the pickup tube, or drain the whole tank, Thanks JarHead-8

Re: Water in Gas

Depending on how much water, you might be OK with a heavy dose of drigas and use of a water separating filter (should have a filter anyway -- learned that the hard way).

Re: Water in Gas

gas floats on stable water so if you can lift your boat up high enough in the front and get all the water to the back of the tank you should be able to syphon all the water out into a bucket. if there is any extra your water/fuel seperator should take care of it. I had almost a half gallon of water in my 80 gallon tank last year and that method seemed to work. They also make wicksticks for snowmobiles that you could try when most of the water is out. Just a suggestion. Thanks

water/oil mix? could be tank sediment. I hate to say it, but it looks like the tank needs to be emptied and cleaned -- guessing we're talking some volume here or it wouldn't be an issue.

:(

Re: Water in Gas

The gas that I'm getting now seems to be almost void of the sediment, I have about 20 gallons remaining, I might be better off with the advice of cleaning the whole sha-bang out. Thanks a Million for the responses, hope this is the last time I have to go through this. JarHead-8
