i have an 89 mercruiser alpha 1 drive. when i pulled the boat i noticed oil pushing out the vent. bad winter this year and just took the drive off and had about a cup of water come out. just took the prop off and pressure checked it and the prop seal is leaking. just had siomeone do it 3 seasons ago . when i looked at it the lip is facing down on the outer one. from whjat i believe it should be facing up to keep water out. is that the case? i am not sure any thoughts or pics. thanks

So,.. You pulled the boat from the water,+ saw oil sludge coming from the Vent Screw,..??

It's Leaking....Both ways....

Did you find the Reason for the Water in the bellows,..??

When you change your drive fluid, you replace all of the gaskets right?
