Ok , not sure if these to issues are related. let me briefly explain.

2 seasons ago I want to look at a boat in the water. The bilge was dry , NO water was in boat anywhere.

I bought the boat and had it winterized and brought it home. The following spring I launched the boat and brought it to the dock. Immediatly noticed a small amount of water in the bilge. Not enough to kick pumps on but still a little water. The water did appear to have some oil in it but this could be from the bilge floor. not alot of oil just a haze.

Fished all season never had a problem, took the boat in for winter service and the invoice has a note
" gear oil milky"

I do know my daughter had caught some fishing line on the prop early in the season

The last trip out with the boat I had almost a dozen people on the boat and went for a ride. I did notice the boat was acting a little funny. felt like the RPM in the engine was there but the torque in the outdrive wasnt. I figured this was due to so much weight aboard. It runs and idled fine but when I throttled I did feel something.

So my boat is supposed to hit the dock may 1st and I must address these issues. Any hint of whats wrong?

Thanks to anyone who helps me

Ayuh,.... What motor,..??

What outdrive,..??

What vintage,..??

I doubt the milky oil in the drive has much to do with water in the bilge, but much more Info is needed,.....

It could be bad bellows. Have you pulled the drive? Like Bondo mentioned let us know what you have.

Pull the drive and check for water in the bellows. Do a pressure check on the drive while you have it off. Since it sounds like not much has been done change the impeller and inspect and lube everything.

Milky oil in the drive means you have a leak and need to find the leaky seal, reseal and flush the drive. The water that is coming in could be from a few things, hose, transom or boot. Recommend not using the boat until fixed
