water impeller?

I've heard alot about water impellers. I think mine is out. There is no pee and it smokes when it runs. Is the impeller the problem? Will this cause the motor to cut out?

it will cause the motor to burn up with no water.change the impeller before you run it again

ok. Then if the impeller is not the cause of it cutting out what could it be? When i pour gas directly into the carb it runs for a second, uses up the fuel, and cuts out. New fuel pump, rebuilt carb...Im at a loss. It finally started running and then cut out. Im getting frustrated. any advice?

You need to change the impellar if is not peeing, Period. It's a carb issue you need to rebuild it. But first I would do a compression check to make sure you are not throwing good money away.

take your time fish I started on a inline six had to walk a way a few times but got good help here these guys are great they will get you going bare with them.Igess you tried pumping the bulb once it starts running.
