GLG fishing's dog picture got me thinking how much my dachshund "Moose" loves to be in a boat. He also MUST kiss every fish that is caught and heaven forbid you lose one.....you'll get the major stinkeye. Here's a couple pics from our pontoon days. Gotta love that life jacket and another on the ride home in the Suburban. Yeah, I built him a custom seat in the burb with a lanyard that clips to his harness so he won't fly through the windshield. Any others out there that have "water" dogs?

Deadwood that a great little sailor you've got there, does he help swab the decks:p

I think it would be cool to have a 4-legged 1st mate but my admiral would be itchy and sneezy:eek:

Does he like swimming?

Moose will walk in from shore on his own terms to about chest level. I grew up with a friend whose German Shepard loved to dive in their pool from the diving board. You could lead him with a football and he'd launch himself and catch it in his mouth. He'd swim the length of the pool get out on the steps, drop the ball at your feet and haul butt back to the diving board for another pass. Went through a bunch of footballs.

My dogs love going for a little cruise (@ 3-5MPH) around the lake. My Sheltie (Talia) is so calm and relaxed that she will actually go to sleep on front deck

Max, my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, likes to move around from front to back but eventually settles on the front deck as well to enjoy the breeze.

Love that last one, IceinWI!

Here we have the large main dog, Dusty, and the small emergency backup dog, Scout.

Tasha, does not care who's boat it is, she is just ready to go. not a swimmer.

Shadow is too hyper, would have to use as Aligator bait.

I don't know how you get away with taking one and leaving the other behind.

Left Scout at home the first couple times after we got him...the wife was v-e-r-y unhappy about the havoc wreaked upon the household by an enraged West Highland Terrorist pup at oh-dark-thirty on a Saturday morning.........

Our long haired dauschand won't tolerate us leaving the driveway without him...he rides with me on the PWC as well as on the boat!

He (Toby) has been happiest going 72 mph on the jetski....

Happy boating!
