Was your boat on the trailer or in the water? either way you do have a problem.

If you boat was in the water it might not be so bad, just fix the penetrations through the hull.

If you boat was on the trailer you have soaked floatation foam and that could mean rotten stringers and transom too.

Welcome to iboats.

You either have a problem or a big problem, as jigngrub said, if it was on the trailer out of the water and there was water coming out a screw hole that would be a big problem, rotten transoms in fiberglass boats are very expensive to replace.

If this is the case get down to the resto forum and tell them what you found and they will walk you through checking the rest of the transom to see how bad it is.

If the boat was in the water, then you need to do some research and fix the holes.
My boat has a board laminated in the bottom of the bilge to mount the pump to.
While you are fixing the holes in the hull it might be a good idea to add that.....
Hmmm....It's also possible that you have a board laminated in there as well, and it's waterlogged because it was never sealed properly....

Pics would be a plus, as well as whether it was in the water or on the trailer

Re: water coming out of screw holes in bilge

i would send pics but thats a little above my pay level on computers....lol and yes it was on the traier i nosed around a little more and it seem to be a shell just over the actual hull its like a little molded tub under the engine and poking i tooth pick in the screw holes it seems there is a 3/4 inch space. The old bilge holes were never caulked from factory and there is also another drain plug infront of the bilge towardes the bow i have no idea why there is a plug there and if it should be out to let water drain????this boat is new to me and i'm just storting out the bugs (i'm hoping there small bugs)
