Hey all, so again got another question to ask. So I got a 1977 Mercury 150 inline 6 and I got water dripping out of the lower number 6 spark plug. Any know why that is and could it be a bad thing?
thanks

There is no cylinder head on that motor.----But there is a water jacket cover with a gasket.----Replace the water jacket gasket.----Or if it is actually blowing out of the sparkplug hole you may have exhaust cover gaskets leaking.

Thanks for the advice. I really hope it’s the water jacket gasket instead of The exhaust cover

Ga- boater, I am having trouble starting it due to carb issues. To much gas is causing it to flood the engine and it’s coming out of the exhaust vents

Also while the motor was running I Noticed that water was coming out of the upper exhaust vents. I’m assuming that the exhaust gasket is no good and needs to be replaced. It that a thing for water to come out of that area?

Some water and exhaust gas will come out of the idle relief ports - Normal.

Water leaking around a spark plug from the cylinder block cover won't cause bad running. Gas dribbling out a carb will. Either a float is too high or stuck or the needle valve is bad. Go through the carbs again.
