I have an 83' Bayliner Capri with an AQ125a. It was running great, until I stoppped for a quick cigarette. Now when the engine turns over water comes out of the carb. What has happened? Why would it have happened so suddenly?

Thanks for your help
Jon Morgan

Jon, does the engine run? I don't know anything about volvos, but in general, I guess a leaking intake manifold gasket, blown head gasket, cracked intake manifold, a lot of things could cause it. someone with some smarts on this unit will post here, our forum has a lot of pros...welcome to I-boats... :)

Did the engine overheat that you know of?solex carbs? When my volvo overheated they was a lot of condisation in the carbs and had to repair the impeller and replace gaskets.seemed to take care of the problem.
