water and oil

My 1986 sea ray is taking on water so I pulled the drive off and watery oil came out. First off I didn't think any oil shoyld come out. Second, the drive bellows is torn, at the connection closest to the outdrive. do I simply have a bad bellows or is there another problem I'm missing such as a seal somewhere

Oil can only come from the front seal in the drive. Water in the bellows usually means new gimbal bearing, unis and a high likelihood that the yoke seal surface is rusted and needs to be replaced/repaired.

i would recommend a complete boot kit and new shift cable at this point.

Forgive me. Is a complete boot kit the 3 bellows and anything else?

What's the serial number of the drive and engine? Once we have those we can look up the right kit for you and show you what's in it.
