I mentioned a little of this story on my last post but thought a new one was in order....
A week and a half ago we were fishing again at Elk Fork when a sudden storm came up, and we had to scramble for shore. After we struggled to get our boat loaded on the trailor I noticed the fellow who had to help me had tried to drive his in and with the wind's help he became stuck sideways and could not go forward or backwards...and storm was getting worse. I went into the water at the dock and wadded out to his boat and pushed his trolling motor up and then slide his boat onto the trailor. Was in water up to my chest but no big deal, it was hot anyway and I was in a hurry.
As I got out of the water I noticed two things....a billfold laying on the ramp's left side, and a few seconds later I noticed the billfold STILL IN MY PANTS....Most stuff dried out OK but I had a doctors order for a chest Xray I was to have in a couple of days and lost a few notes.....The other billfold belonged to a guy who left there right before we did. We managed to reach him about 24hrs later and he had TONS of ID's in there so he was happy to get it back.....thought he had lost it while casting etc. and apparently he went right past it when leaving....The doctors office had a good laugh about my illegible Xray order and I picked up another one later. I guess I need to keep my billfold in the boat's glove box, or perhaps in my tackle box....still learning...the hard way!
