Anyone here have recent updates on Washington bottom fishing. I am heading to the San Juans the end of this month and I heard they were going to close off shore for bottom fish. Does this mean the San Juans will be closed also? Thanks for any help. I will be taking my 19' boat and taking it over to Orcas Island. Any advice on that area would be great!

The off shore closing only affects the coast of Washington not Puget Sound or the San Juan Islands. The coast is closed for bottom fish from 30 fathoms and deeper.

Ling cod and Halibut is closed in the San Juans, you can keep 1 rockfish and 2 cabezon. Salmon fishing is open right now for kings, silvers and pinks.

Thanks Damon!
That helps me out. At least I know to include a fishing rod or two in my gear.
