BIL has a 15HP Johnson (c. 1994) on a pontoon. Has a low-hour season (perhaps total of 40 hours) of maybe 5 months and is stored covered, but outside.
Control panel has some warning indicators which includes a temp warning.
This goes off sporadically at low RPMs but if you accelerate, stops.

It's never had a new impeller, so I'm going to change it for him just because.
But is the alarm a temp based, or is it somehow indicating a low water flow?
Stream seems fine so I am also wondering whether the sending units ever act up?

put in reverse, the shift connection is inside the intake vents, remove cover, you will see a compression fitting. just turn the top half the fitting, if you turn the both it adjusts the shift height. their is a ferrel on the top shift rod that has to come off before the top nut will come off.
