I have a 2001 vmax 225 with new water pump 2 years ago. Recently a warning buzzer came on while going no wake. I shut down engine, and buzzer sounded again when key turned on but boat not started. Funny thing is when started and engine revved buzzer stopped. While moving on plane buzzer did not sound but when going through no wake zone came on again. New plugs, water gauge shows pressure, new oil. Any thoughts?

what did your gauges tell you? overheat?
stats, pressure relief valve, or pump need attention possibly

Season 3 on impeller. Pressure is about 10-12 while no wake above 20 while running. No temp gauge. Older boat so gauges pretty simple.

pop off the t-stat housing and take a peak. as mentioned, if the poppet valve grommets are crusty and leak, it will overheat a low speeds. t stats should be replaced while your at it.
