I have a 1994 50 hp oil injected Mariner and the alarm buzzer in the control box sounds occassioanlly. It makes a constant noise when it sounds off. The noise it makes sounds like radio static or something shorting out. It will make noise for a while under way and then will stop.<br />In a few minutes it may do it again. I have changed out the water pump impeller. (I did not change the lower part of the pump - only the imnpeller and wear plate, but it seems to be pumping ok. The oil tank is full, and it is using oil, so apparently it is pumping. <br />I would appreciate any help on how to find the cause of this racket. Thanks.<br />The engine doesn't have many hours on it although it is a 94 model.
