my warm-up lever in my throttle is stripped and the lever lockout and lockout cam are both bent and misshapen now.
in the linked diagram image i'm refering to parts 20 and 67: http://img186.imageshack.us/my.php?image=4139567310tq7.png
could i drill a hole through the warm up lever pivot and put a bolt through it and just bolt it in place.
the throttle forward cable pivots on top of that warm-up mechanism and i'm thinking if i just lock it in place it should work.
i haven't had to use the warm up lever yet anyway.
would this work?

or should i just buy a new remote box to avoid any further problems? either way could you folks recommend a decent box for a good price? could i get one for under $50? what about older johnson/evinrude controls on ebay...would most of them work with my motor?

Re: warm-up lever broken.

any control with the big red cannon plug will work on that motor. i have bought many off ebay.
