Hello,Ihave a 5hp montgomery Wards motor. Runs great. Model GG8977A. What year is it and can I get an owners manual? Thank You.

Your motor is a 1958, made by Gale Products Division of OMC. www.outboardbooks.com may have a reprint of the owner's manual. If not, get one from them for a 5.5hp Evinrude or Johnson. They are not 100% identical, but close enough for what's in the owner's manual.
