I need a windshield for my 1958 Starcraft Speed Queen. I am quite sure the windshield is the same on many boats of that era. Anybody got one laying around not being used? 5 feet wide, 17.5 inches tall are the dimensions.

I would make one this weekend if the material wasn't so expensive. I don't want to take the risk of cracking a piece of lexan worth over 100 dollars. This is my last resort.

I think Lexan bends with a little heat. Try a tile heat gun, use a piece of scrap of something cheap. Practice on it before you try for real. I think I saw someone do it and they left the paper on too (protective brown wrap).

ClassicMako owner's club.com ( I think) Keep searching online. Someone has done this before.

If you buy Lexan, dosent matter what thickness, you will NEVER crack or break it. It can be sawed, cut, drilled, bent, darn near anything. The main thing is to protect it from scratching, scrapes, or scuffs. It is similiar to plexiglass, but plex will break. And you can get mar and scratch resistant Lexan too, ( additional cost )
