Want to take a ride?

I found out how to take movies with my digital camera about 2 weeks ago. About 10 days ago I found a movie making program (a free Mr Softy version)on my PC. This my second attempt at a video. Put about every free waking moment in it for the last 5 days.
A couple things; The speedometer only goes to 60 MPH. The red #'s on the inside read the high speeds (they are hard to see). The 1 through 12 are for trolling speeds. 60mph is in line with the 12. Still pretty fast for a 34 year old boat with a small block Chrysler and 270 outdrive. Last, it is 4 min's long so if you have a slow connection you may want to pass unless you have the time.

Here it is. Please be kind.

Video

I think the video is pretty dang cool! I have one question and one comment. Did you know your steering wheel is on the wrong side? :D ;) I wish the music would have been a little quieter, so I could hear the motor revving! :D :D Very cooll video though, nice job!

Re: Want to take a ride?

The program was a free one so the music function was a little limited. Also my film stock was limited (4 min's 28 seconds) and the video is 4 min's long. I want to get more shots (like drive by's and such)and maybe a upgraded program.
as for the steering wheel. It came that way.
A picture from back in the day.
Seriously dude, you need a real mic. I want to hear that engine for all it's worth! I'd imagine that there is a WHOLE lot of rumble coming from it, but without a decent mic, I can't hear it. :p

But otherwise, good job.

And dang, I should have hooked up with you when I was out in MD and gotten a ride!

Way cool!! And I love your boat even more now. Totally dig the center mounted control. Just odd enough to make me want it :D

Also, I can see your Bennett's. I don't know if you remember, I ran my boat with the trim out similar to your fixed trim and only controlled attitude with my trim tabs to simulate your situation. I could make it do just about anything trim wise. I can see that yours are down a little even at high speed by the wake, but I also recall that you couldn't get her to do what you wanted. Didn't you think the bow was staying too far down? Those tabs look like they are pushing her down to me . . . :confused:

That is f_incool! And that is the coolest looking boat that I have ever seen. Its looks fast setting still. Only thing wrong with the boat is that its not chevy powered. :D

"Seriously dude, you need a real mic. I want to hear that engine for all it's worth! They are installed to the Bennett's spec's. But I always thought they were to low but it came that way and without drilling new holes in my transom I am kind of stuck at the moment. :(

" That is f_incool! There is a Chevy inboard version in the middle of a top off restore in the mid-west. There is also one in St Louis with dual Ford 302's and 270 outdrives. But all and all I will stick with my Mopar (now it is paid for). The best out of the three by far. ;)

Ya I know it is a little confusing. Just so everyone knows, its the speedometer that is shown on top of the dash. The speedometer only goes to 60 MPH. The red #'s on the inside read the high speeds (they are hard to see). The 1 through 12 are for trolling speeds. 60mph is in line with the 12.
This may help;
